About this site

A free study companion for Queensland students in QCAA Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics, Units 1 to 4, built around one target: full marks on both external examinations.

What is here

  • Lessons covering every one of the 356 subject-matter points in the two syllabuses, with interactive explorations where a picture teaches better than a paragraph.
  • 434 question types, each able to produce an endless supply of fresh questions with a full worked solution, hints, and feedback on the common mistakes.
  • Adaptive revision that finds what you do not yet know and keeps returning to it until you do.
  • Practice exams assembled to the shape of the real papers: the same marks, the same balance of simple familiar, complex familiar and complex unfamiliar questions, a timer, and the formula book.

How a question is checked

Every question is generated from fixed parameters, and its answer is computed exactly: surds stay surds, fractions stay fractions, and π stays π. Before any question reaches you, an automated check re-derives the answer independently, confirms the marker accepts the correct answer in its usual forms, and confirms it rejects a nearly-right one. The worked solution is built from the same numbers as the answer, so the two cannot disagree.

Answers are marked by mathematical equivalence, not by matching text. 2√2 and √8 are the same answer and both earn the mark. The help page lists every format the marker reads.

What it is not

This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority. Syllabus references are to Mathematical Methods 2025 v1.3 and Specialist Mathematics 2025 v1.4. The questions and lessons are original; they are written to the syllabus, not copied from past papers or textbooks. Your school's internal assessment conditions and marking guides always take precedence over anything here.
